The Virginia Lottery also released November figures for the state’s other two casinos now in operation. Direct payments total $3.1 million since the casino opened. Since the casino opened May 15, it has generated nearly $125.4 million in gaming revenue and nearly $7.5 million in tax revenue for the city. The direct payment for November will be $437,541, bringing the October revenue total to nearly $1.5 million.
The City of Danville also receives direct payments as part of an agreement with Caesars Virginia. Gaming tax revenue for the City of Danville amounted to $1.05 million. The Virginia Lottery reports that gaming revenue totaled $17.5 million for Danville Casino in November, which was the casino’s sixth full month of operation.
